Trailer Travels

We’d like to think we have it all mapped out. Next week, we’re heading for Bohol again and this time around, we need to plan the trip carefully. We’ll stay in the province for almost a week, after all, and with the kids and the yaya traveling with us, we can’t pack light; we have to pack complete.

Mind you, I’m a light packer. I could stuff in one backpack or oversized shoulder bag all the things I’ll need for a week. But that counts for naught when you have two kids in the house who need a suitcase full of gadgets and supplies just to get through the week. Milk? Check. Vitamins? Check. Medicines? Check. Toiletries? Check. Sterilizer? Check. Milk bottles? Check. The list goes on… with seemingly no end in sight. I haven’t even come to the clothing part!

Sometimes, I wish the trailer culture would finally get here. Families can then hit the road whenever they need to, in comfort and without having to worry that they’re bringing too many things with them. After all, when you travel inside a trailer, all you need are rv parks and a freight ship. You won’t have to worry that you overpacked. You can even transplant your kitchen from house to trailer van if you want to!
