Today, the family trooped to SM at 10am for a photoshoot. Who goes to SM at 10am? You’d be surprised; tons of people do.

Normally, you’d have to bribe me to go to the mall that early because not only do I hate crowds, I don’t do mornings that start at 10am. Moreover, I’ve the descriptions from Iris to finish. But who says no to Kara? Besides, this is my first mother-daughter photoshoot ever. Aside from the excitement factor (it’s a new experience, people!), I couldn’t bear to disappoint the daughter. She couldn’t wait to go!

So we went. The department store manager and Kara chose clothes for me and Alex. Afterwards, Mrs. Morell brought me to the makeup lady who wasted no time telling me just what is wrong with my face. One, I’m freckled – way too freckled. Too, my face is too small. It doesn’t help that I’ve a heart-shaped hairline. Three, my face is too dry. I look like I don’t moisturize. She’s right on that score; I don’t. My face is strictly bathe and wear. When I go out, I put on Ponds cream and a little facepaint but as far as facial skin care goes, that is it.

So here’s my resolution: from now on, I will moisturize. A trip to Wett’s dermatologist is definitely at the top of next week’s list of activities.

I’m still more than a little tired from the shoot but once I’ve rested enough, I’ll blog about the experience here. Oh, and the photoshoot’s for Sunstar’s Friday issue. I didn’t really take a close look at MY photos; I was more excited to see Alex’s. But considering Kara had to coax me (really, really coax), I’m sure the woodiness and hesitation will be evident. The little girl was fab, though! :)
