Comments Off Hardware, Why Can’t You Keep Up?
I think I know why I’m zonked. It could be the 48-nighter I pulled recently. It could be having to carry a weepy, grumpy, sick baby at all times. It could be the stress of nervous anticipation my sister’s leaving is putting me through. Or, it could be that my aunt just gave birth and a quarter of our household things and human population seemingly moved to the hospital.
I hate it when I’m tired. It’s a sure sign my body can’t keep up with my brain. My brain works like the energizer bunny. It’s never still, it’s never down-heck, it works so actively I can still linger over the shopping channel’s pet beds commercial I saw recently even when I haven’t had a shut-eye in almost 3 days! But my body is an entirely different story. It’s always going south, or going to the dogs. It’s always coming down with a bug or two. It’s a classic case of the hardware unable to keep up with the software. This frustrates me because I don’t like sleeping all that much. I’m only too conscious of the ticking of the clock. I feel like I’m wasting time whenever I sleep. I’ll try not to mind being saddled with weak hardware today, though. Having bistek for dinner makes up for a lot of things
