I learned something new today, something lots of people around the world would pay tons of money for. I learned how to do keyword research. No, it’s not the kind where you just type a series of words or copypaste a URL and leave the spiders to do their job. It’s not the kind where you randomly pick out long tail keywords either and hope for the best. Rather, it’s keywording that targets the best phrases for the website you want to rank — and with us knowing exactly how many competitors we need to clobber to reach the top.

Of course, I’m flabbergasted at how easy it is — most of the time, anyway. A few clicks here, some copypasting there, and I can pull up the keywords website owners would fight tooth and nail for. The task gets difficult when you’re working on a grossly saturated niche like dating. In fact, Wett spent a full 30 minutes today scouring for 6 dating-related keywords! He was frustrated, naturally, and made lots of faces while at it. But we both ended up laughing because some of the keywords Google spits out are just too hilarious for words.

Still, who knew SEO could be so simple and beautiful? I am in love with keywording. Right now, I’m supposed to be uploading codes to servers and figuring out why people’s websites hosted on our server is down. But darn it, I can’t stop keywording and googling! Now I understand why the lady boss fell in love with IM. It’s amazing how, simply by knowing what to do and how to do it, you can actually make heaps of money online, as passive income!

Think all those stories of passive income earners are just that – stories? No. I actually know (and exchange emails with) clients who make loads of money off adsense. In fact, one’s optimizing his sites so he can earn $300 a day. The hub and I were incredulous with this figure. Is that even possible, earning $300 daily without doing a thing? I wish I had the guts to ask him but he had no qualms telling my boss this target and she didn’t laugh at his face — so yeah, there must be something in that water.

So let’s see. As soon as Wett and I finish bundling off all the codes to the lady boss’ clients, we just might give adsense a try. Hopefully, we’ve both learned enough from A and E to make it pan out. I really am in love with keywording and if you’re tired of reading me say that, just you wait til I actually earn something from adsense! I’ll bore you with even more keywording talk then! Hahaha.
