Forget These Not

victoria-secret-leggingsThe problem with having an attention span as short as mine is that every time I make up my mind that I want something, I almost always forget that I want it. Case in point: these babies. I’ve been wanting these pumps for the longest time. They’d go well with my baby doll dresses, jeans, and leggings. I see them on display all the time in Ayala. Each time I do, I tell the hub, “Let’s make that store our last stop so I can check if they have it in my size.” (more…)

Happily Sleeved

This will sound very nitpicky of me but I’ve never liked the roomy laptop bags that most laptops come with. For one, they’re too big for me. They look way too utilitarian. Most of all, they look (forgive me, god of freebies) ugly. The easiest thing would have been to buy a girly laptop bag, right? Wrong. Try scouring for one and you’ll be dismayed at how few of them you could find. The rest of Cebu, it would seem, are happy with their black laptop bags.

Well, I wasn’t happy with mine. It’s useful but it’s not cute. I need my regular dose of cute, especially when I’m dealing with grumpy clients who split hairs over the tiniest thing. So when my good friend Meream came up with a laptop sleeve she sewed herself, I was ecstatic. I asked her to make one for me as well.

1. Little black dresses. I love little black dresses. It seems every time I see a little black dress, I’m drawn to it – like the moth to the flame. I love the way black glams everything up instantly. So here’s the plan. Someday, I’ll be that 50-year-old grandma who wears interesting jewelry, interesting black dresses, and interesting lines on her face. I’d wear beautifully scented scarves and tell the oddest stories.
